Our Story
From an Idea to a Movement
Sun Collectors began in 2019 when solar consultant Hunter Trenary and electrical engineer William Grant shared a vision to offer premium solar solutions while making solar simple, transparent, and accessible for Central Illinois homeowners, businesses and farmers.
Inspired by how solar could truly make a difference, they took a leap of faith and launched Sun Collectors.
In the beginning, the company worked with trusted local partners such as 360 Electric, ensuring each installation met their high standards for craftsmanship and integrity. As the business grew, we made a long-term commitment to in-house excellence. Sun Collectors founded Oasis Electric to bring every aspect of design and installation fully in-house, under our roof — guaranteeing total control, accountability, and consistency.
Today, every project is proudly managed, installed, and supported by local professionals — never outsourced. The same team that designs your system is the one that wires it, inspects it, and stands behind it for the next 30 years.
In the early days, Sun Collectors partnered with reputable local electricians like 360 Electric to complete installations. As demand grew, we made a long-term commitment to in-house excellence — founding Oasis Electric, a fully licensed electrical company that now manages every project under our roof.
Today, every system is designed, installed, and serviced entirely by our in-house teams — no subcontractors, no confusion, and no shortcuts. From your first consultation to your final inspection, you’ll work with the same local professionals every step of the way.
